BEAUTY COMES IN ALL SIZES, SHAPES AND COLOURS
We in our society depend too much on what all other say and
how others feel, and not on what we feel is correct. Despite of all modern time
, we find majority of those who agree with the fact that what looks good or
looks beautiful is actually good. But, still there are a few who think differently,
who don’t believe that beauty just an appearance. They believe beauty is a feeling
i.e. what they feel about the the person and not how he/she appears externally.
For me, there is no exact definition for beauty but it has a
deeper connect how we observe people, things etc. I believe beauty comes in all
sizes, shapes, colors, complexion, races etc. But for most of us beauty means
being slim, being fair, being tall and the people who are fat or dark or short
cannot be beautiful. What an age old thought!
Let me ask you all a question- how would you regard a person
who is very beautiful and charming from outside but has no regard for others or
considers him/her above others and doesn’t know how to treat others? Is that person actually
beautiful? What would be your answer- you will say selfish, rude
arrogant etc. but not beautiful. This shows that no matter how much we look at the external
beauty, in reality what matters is what one is from inside.
Now just imagine yourself coming across someone who is
average , not special but you see him/her helping elderly , talking to others
politely, gently giving respect and love to others, laughing giggling and
enjoying. In short, a very kind hearted jolly bubbly person. Despite his/her
looks you will feel a connect to that person and would appreciate his /her
personality and classify his/her as a very good person. For me, such person is actually beautiful.
You may appreciate whatever I am writing but still for most
of you being beautiful might not change, but if I am able to express my
thoughts and am able to put even a single person to think like me, I would feel
happy and honored because change starts slowly and gradually and it is enough if people start thinking in this way.
